SAYING GOODBYE TO IVA

October 7,2009 One year ago Dad wife Iva passed away. Dad wanted to have a memorial on this day one year later on a beach out in Nuevo Vallarta, where he and Iva would go in the early years of their life together. They always talked about spending the rest of their lives on this beach. So on this morning Vicki and I helped dad put Iva's ashes in to 7 different little bags. One went to Cici who was dad and Iva's cleaning lady for over 20 years, and she wanted to keep hers in a little jar. The rest were for Iva's daughters, Linda, Sandy, Tom Iva's nephew and then Dad, Vicki and I. We all met at Dads house at 10:00 and then drove to the beach in Nuevo. We all had lunch and then dad had a CD with a song (I can't remember what it was) that we all listened to and then the six of us walked down and in to the ocean and put her ashes in and said our goodbye. It was very nice and it was so hard to see dad have such a difficult time, and trying not to cry. It broke my heart. The following are some pictures of how the day went.

Wed. morning we woke up to dad bringing OJ, coffee, and fruit up on the dumb weightier to the patio up stairs where there is the guest bedroom. we had a little breakfast before we needed to get things ready for the memorial.

The bar upstairs and the door that is open on the right of the picture is where the dumb weightier is that comes up from the kitchen, very fun

Look how beautiful!

Puerto Vallarta BABY!

Vicki and I were able to go see our dad in Puerto Vallarta and be with him for the memorial for Iva. We both left our own cities on the 6th of October and met in Phoenix and then on to Puerto Vallarta. When we arrived and after dad picked us up from the airport, the first thing we did was to put the swimsuits on and get into the pool. I am telling you it was so hot and very humid. Needless to say we spent most of our days in our swimsuits!
(Sorry the pictures are in the wrong order. I will try to do better with the next post.)

'SHE'

We just found out that Michael and Jessica are going to be having a baby GIRL! I never thought that I would be saying that in my lifetime. haha but we get to welcome our first Girl into our family on or around February 6th 2010. We are so excited! I can't wait! She is going to be one spoiled little girl. I was very surprised that Larry was excited about our little girl, but he said it would be nice. I guess that is a lot coming from him (Mr. excitement).
This is her little hand waving at us!

More Visitors

Our Friends Ray and Sheila Dewitt came up to see our neck of the woods in August. Ray had been up in this area before but a long time ago and this was Sheila's first time. I think that it was a long ride for her but once she got here she absolutely loved it. They both did. They could not believe how beautiful it was.
Ray and Sheila at the Pancake House. They always have tons of hanging plants around the huge deck and it is so pretty.
These pictures were taken at Tamarack on the mountain and at the Lodge

I just loved this tree!

I wish that I wasn't so fat!!

A Visit from Karen and her Kids!

Larry's sister Karen and three of her kids came over for one last summer trip before the kids started school. One last getaway! We had a great time with them and always enjoy having them come over and spend some time. They usually come over in the winter so it was fun for them to see the lake un thawed. The first night that they arrived we took them to the lake over at poison creek and rode the jet skis this was a first for all of them and I think that they had a great time.
Dillon and Kiersten had a good time riding with Uncle Larry!
Kirsten and Dillon decided that they wanted to bury their mom with some sand!

Logan taking his try on the red jet ski with the seat, he didn't want to try it standing up. HE did great for the first time.

On Tuesday I took them up to McCall to Payette lake on the new beach that they made. They all had fun and Logan and Kirsten had a great time playing beach volleyball.

A great time with some float toys that I had. I think the kids had a great time.

Well I decided to do some more catching up with pictures of happenings over the summer.
This is the Georgetown Loop Railroad that is in the little town that I grew up in and believe it or not I had never ridden the train until this summer. When I was in Colorado Vicki, Dad and I decided to take a little ride. We had so much fun it was awesome! Hope you enjoy the pictures.
