Recently, I got a slice of a huge tree branch that I am going to make a table out of and my friends could not believe that it came from a branch and not the whole tree so I decided to take them up to our Bishops house where it got the wood and show them the tree. We also managed to get some great pictures of the trees turning. The yellow trees in the pictures are Tamarack Pine trees and they turn yellow in the fall and loose all their needles. These trees just fascinate me because I never knew of a pine tree to loose its needles and then they grow back in the spring! This is the tree that my slice of wood came off of. I takes 5 people hand to hand to get around this tree and one of the branches broke off during our storm that we had in July. and that's where I got my wood from

Grandbabies
Larry and I were so blessed to be able to go to St. George for Thanksgiving. I am so grateful for the time that we had to spend with our children and grandchildren. I have this fear that since we have moved that I will turn out to be like my mom and this brings sadness to my heart. I don't want my grand babies not to know us. I want them to know how precious they are to me and how grateful I am for each one of them. I wish that my mom would have felt the same way with my boys. How sad for her for not getting to know them they are remarkable young men and Kody and Michael are wonderful fathers, who have chosen great girls as their partners. For this we are so blessed.

Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving morning, I got up and made cinnamon rolls and then Jessica came over before she went to Las Vegas to pick up Michael and the airport. I got to see Karcyn and I can't believe how big she is getting and how Mobile she is. She has a great little personality and she loves her mommy. I then got the Turkey ready to cook and then Erica and I got the rest of the dinner ready so it was ready to eat when Michael and Jessica got back. It was so nice of Kody and Erica to let us come down and stay in their house and have Thanksgiving with them, since we don't have a home in St. George now. sniff The dinner was very good and it was so nice to be together again as a family, I sure miss not being able to see my kids all the time.
Friday after pictures
After we had family pictures we headed back to Kody and Erica's and had left over turkey sandwiches, (I love them) and other fixings that were left over also.. We did have some of Erica's homemade pumpkin pie that she made, it was her grandma Nelsons recipe It was very good. Earlier in the day the boys talked their dad into letting them ride the 4-wheelers in the back yard and of course they had a blast. I so enjoy seeing my boys and their families all together and having a great time. It warms my heart.
